Fenix (ASX: FEX) is a high-margin iron ore producer with fully integrated transport logistics and port services businesses. The Company operates iron ore mines in Western Australia’s prolific Mid-West and owns the Newhaul transport logistics business which includes a state-of-the-art road haulage fleet, rail sidings, and significant on-wharf storage and loading infrastructure at Geraldton Port. The Company has grown rapidly since commencing operation in 2020 and has created more than 300 jobs and generated more than $200 million in positive operating cashflow. Mining operations include the Iron Ridge Iron Ore Mine, the Shine Iron Ore Mine, and the Beebyn-W11 iron ore deposit. Current production is 1.3 million tonnes per annum with the ambition to grow Fenix production to more than 4 million tonnes per annum in 2025 as new operations come online. Fenix is committed to unlocking value from the abundance of rich Mid-West resource projects and is levering the Company’s unique logistics infrastructure and skills to boost Fenix production and also to provide solutions for new third-party commodity producers in the region. During 2024, Fenix secured a $70 million haulage and logistics contract which will see the development and commissioning of an inland port operation designed to boost efficiency and capacity.
