Anisa Kamadoli Costa

Anisa Kamadoli Costa is a seasoned philanthropic and sustainability executive with a track record of connecting environmental, social, and governance issues to business performance, reputation, and shareholder value. She currently serves as Chief Sustainability Officer at Rivian as well as President & Trustee of the Rivian Foundation. 

Through these dual appointments, Anisa drives the company’s global sustainability and philanthropic agenda and collaborates with leaders across Rivian and in the field to advance the company’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) priorities. Anisa also serves as the founding President & Trustee of the Rivian Foundation, which is dedicated to preserving the natural world and was capitalized with one percent of Rivian’s stock at the time of the company’s IPO in November 2021. 

Previously, Anisa worked at Tiffany & Co. for nearly two decades. During her tenure she served as Tiffany & Co.’s first-ever Chief Sustainability Officer as well as Chairman and President of The Tiffany & Co. Foundation, focusing the company’s philanthropic strategy on supporting nonprofit organizations dedicated to the stewardship of natural resources and empowerment of local communities, in the areas of responsible mining and marine conservation. She also developed Tiffany & Co.’s metrics-driven ESG effort, which was recognized by investors and the private and nonprofit sectors for its substance and transparency.

Her career has focused on catalyzing collaborative, mutually beneficial relationships among an array of stakeholders, scaling programs and impact, and effectively communicating strategy and purpose to diverse constituencies and audiences. She is a recognized expert in philanthropic, environmental and social impact issues with extensive board leadership experience on a variety of nonprofit, industry, and multi-stakeholder bodies.  In particular, Anisa contributes to the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Responsible Resource Use, following previous leadership roles in its Human Rights and Mining & Metals Councils; Anisa was also a founding board member of the Initiative for Responsible Mining Assurance and a member of the Founders Circle of the B Team, a global nonprofit focused on driving sustainable business practices.
