Dr. Roman Stiftner is Chief Executive Officer of the Austrian Mining, Steel & Non-Ferrous Metals Associations within the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, representing Austria’s mining, steel, and non-ferrous metals industries. He also serves as Director General of EUMICON, the European raw materials platform, and holds several leadership positions in European industry and logistics organizations, including Vice President of Euromines.
With extensive experience in industry, policy, and supply chain management, Dr. Stiftner previously served as CEO of logistics automation company Dematic GmbH and as Senior Vice President of Siemens AG Austria. He was also a member of the Vienna State Parliament, responsible for transport, infrastructure, environmental, and energy affairs.
Dr. Stiftner holds a doctorate from the Vienna University of Technology and is a recognized advocate for sustainable raw materials supply, industrial competitiveness, and Europe's transition to a low-carbon economy.
