Folaseto Akin-Olugbade

Folaseto Akin‑Olugbade is a Director at Africa50, a pan‑African infrastructure investment platform established by African governments and the African Development Bank to accelerate project development and financing across the continent.

In her role within the Project Finance team, she leads the structuring and execution of investments in critical infrastructure sectors, supporting sustainable economic growth and regional integration.

With over 15 years of experience in private equity and infrastructure investing, Akin‑Olugbade has deployed and managed more than US$7 billion in capital across Africa, Europe, and the Americas. Her sector expertise spans energy, natural resources, industrials, and digital infrastructure, where she has a strong track record of delivering complex transactions and scalable investment solutions.

Prior to joining Africa50, she held senior investment roles at leading global firms, including Actis, where she focused on sustainable infrastructure investments in growth markets. Her earlier career includes positions at Development Partners International (DPI), PwC, and KPMG, where she built deep experience in transaction advisory, investment strategy, and financial structuring.

In addition to her executive responsibilities, Akin‑Olugbade serves on boards and advisory bodies, contributing to governance and strategic oversight. She has been involved in directing investment decisions and supporting portfolio companies across multiple industries, reinforcing her reputation as a leader in impact-driven investing.
