Henry worked as a journalist in New York, Beijing, and London. Most recently he was a commodities reporter for the Financial Times between 2014 and 2021. He is particularly interested in the geopolitics of the global energy transition and how individual Chinese companies define China’s embrace of the world.
With nearly two decades of journalism experience, Sanderson previously worked for the Financial Times and Bloomberg News, reporting extensively on commodities, mining, China, and global markets. He also served as Executive Editor of Benchmark Mineral Intelligence, a leading provider of data and analysis on battery supply chains and critical minerals.
Based in London, Sanderson advises investors, policymakers, and industry leaders on critical minerals strategy, supply chain security, and the global energy transition. He has testified before the UK Parliament, presented to the U.S. State Department, and is a frequent speaker at major international conferences focused on mining, batteries, clean energy, and geopolitics.
