Mr. Ian Morissette is the Associate Deputy Minister of Mines at the Ministère des Ressources naturelles et des Forêts since February 2024.
As a senior executive and diplomat with extensive experience, both in Québec and abroad, he has been the Vice-President of Sustainable Development and Partnerships in Northern Territories at the Société du Plan Nord, the Assistant Deputy Minister of Policy and Public Corporations at the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications, the Delegate for Francophone and Multilateral Affairs of Québec in Paris and the Director of Political and Public Affairs at the Québec Government Office in London.
Mr. Morissette holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in international relations from the Université du Québec à Montréal.
