A dynamic and driven corporate finance and investment banking professional, Miranda has nearly 30 years of global experience in the resource finance sector.  She recently moved from the investment banking side of the business to work with a Europe-based Family Office – OCIM Precious Metals SA – to help OCIM identify worthwhile investments in the precious metals production space.       

Metal traders at the core, OCIM seeks to offer companies simple, flexible, and efficient access to funding to, thereby, allowing companies to advance their projects.

Miranda has a keen understanding of the value of long-term business relationships, the value of standing behind your product and the value of due diligence. Her infectious and unstoppable energy translates to her immense capacity to tackle whatever task is at hand. Miranda has access to a diverse, global investor network, including high-net worth individuals, private equity, institutions, investment funds, family offices, philanthropic groups, government agencies and affiliated organizations. Furthermore, Miranda has renowned expertise in bringing together technically savvy investors to fit with the best project.  

She has a consummate ability to locate the right people with the right resources, thereby assisting in moving great projects to the next level. Miranda has been actively involved in transactions with junior, mid-tier and senior companies, along all stages of the discovery curve from greenfield exploration, development through to production, across the diversity of the commodity ecosystem.

She is currently Co-Vice Chair of Women in Mining (WIM) Toronto, a member of WIM UK, as well as having membership in the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada and the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum.  Miranda is a member of Artemis Group, a coalition of Canadian women entrepreneurs in the mining industry focused on advancing and supporting women in their evolution and growth in the sector.

Miranda is an Advisory Board Member of ICE Dragon Corrosion Inc., a private Canadian-based consulting company that specializes in corrosion risk management strategies, an Advisory Board Member for Prospector, an online platform and portal for the mining industry based on technical data, and an Chair of the Programme Advisory Group for the planetGOLD Programme – a global partnership with governments, the private sector, and ASGM communities in 13 countries – with a stated goal to significantly improve the production practices and work environment of artisanal and small-scale miners under the Minamata Convention.
