Namrata Thapar is Global Head of Mining for IFC, the private sector arm of the World Bank Group. Ms. Thapar leads IFC’s investment team responsible for supporting the mining sector and developing IFC’s mining business with a focus on sustainability and development impact across the emerging markets.
IFC’s financing includes investments in equity, mezzanine and senior debt. She joined IFC in 1999 and has managed investments in mining transactions globally with clients ranging from major diversified companies to juniors through equity, project and corporate financings. She is based in Washington D.C.
