Peter Zadora, as Umicore's Director ESG Acceleration, leads the implementation and achievement of Umicore Group's sustainability strategy, overseeing projects related to the decarbonization of Umicore's activities and of those of its suppliers, improving the Group's environmental performance and its responsible sourcing of all goods and services.
Peter in this role brings his prior experience of more than 15 years in (renewable) energy procurement, including in long-term Power Purchasing Agreements (PPAs), risk and portfolio management, energy policy and developing onsite renewable energy projects. Before Umicore he worked at Engie to technically optimize the natural gas flows and portfolio in Belgium.
He represents Umicore in organizations such as at Eurometaux' Energy and Climate Change Committee and Sustainability and Trade Committee. He is vice president of the Belgian Federation for Energy-Intensive Industries, FEBELIEC.
Peter has a master in Engineering in Electromechanics (UCLL), a master in Electrotechnics (VUB) and a degree in Corporate Economics from the Catholic University of Leuven.
